The technology business association Diia.City United launches the study «Technology sector as the basis of Ukraine’s economic resilience and a driver of recovery.»

According to the union’s press service, the goal of the project is to assess how technology companies affect the economic sustainability of the state.

«A separate focus is the role of the Diia.City space in the development of innovations, investment activity, and the formation of competitive conditions for business,» the union noted.

The research is conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Advanter Group, with the support of the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund.

It combines four key components:

  • survey of 400+ technology companies — residents and non-residents of the Diia.City space;
  • in-depth interviews with company executives, as well as Ukrainian and international investors;
  • economic analysis and modeling;
  • comparison of Ukraine with competing jurisdictions.

«Such a study has never been done in Ukraine before — and it should change the conversation about the role of tech in the economy and post-war recovery. Our tech proves its resilience every day — it’s time to show what real contribution it makes to the country’s economy. The result of this study will help talk to investors and global companies, parliament, government, international partners based on facts, not assumptions,» says Natalia Mykolska, executive director of Diia.City United.

In turn, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov noted that the launch of Diia.City has become the largest state reform for the IT industry in recent decades.

«Thanks to Diia.City in Ukraine, we are building one of the most attractive and competitive jurisdictions in the world for technology business. But to move forward, we need hard data — objective analytics that will show how the space works in practice, what role it plays in the development of the technology sector, and what new growth points are opening up for the industry. It is high-quality data that is the basis for effective management decisions», — Fedorov stated.

Founders and CEOs of technology companies, both residents and non-residents of the Diia.City space, are asked to participate in the survey at this link .

In turn, companies and investors who are willing to share their experience in an in-depth interview format can contact the research team directly.

Meanwhile, as dev.ua wrote, Serhiy Prytula, a volunteer and head of the foundation named after him , called for changes to legislative norms that complicate the cooperation of companies using the Diia City regime with charitable organizations and volunteer foundations.
