Dune: Awakening is an open-world multiplayer survival game that falls into the currently unpopular MMO genre. According to the developers, the project «draws inspiration from Frank Herbert’s novels and Denis Villeneuve’s Oscar-winning film, while exploring exciting new possibilities for the franchise.»
According to the SteamDB website, on January 22, the Dune: Awakening page on Steam was updated, namely, support for the Ukrainian interface language and subtitles was added to the description.
Although the project’s Steam page in the Ukrainian region is still localized in English, the latest published news from the developers is already written in Ukrainian. It notes that Dune: Awakening will support «advanced technologies» NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Razer Chroma and Haptics.
«In the development of Dune: Awakening, we strive to create conditions for maximum immersion in the world of Arrakis. We want you to feel the sand trembling from the movement of a sandworm, the friction of a Coriolis storm against your skin, and the flow of spices through your veins,» Funcom said in a post.
Dune: Awakening will be one of the first games to support NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, which is expected to launch with the launch of the new generation of NVIDIA RTX 50 graphics cards at the end of January.
Last March, Funcom released a gameplay trailer for Dune: Awakening, showing off the extreme conditions on the planet Arrakis, from the harsh climate to giant sandworms emerging from the sand.
