The new Family Link parental control tools introduced by Google can only be used with a supervised Google account. What features will help control children on gadgets?
Family Link’s Screen Time tab will help parents easily set up different modes to manage their child’s screen time, the company said in a blog post.
School Time, which allows children to access limited features like emergency services during school hours, is now available for Android phones and tablets. All other notifications on a child’s phone will be turned off during school hours. Parents can customize the «Recess Time» settings to set a recess time for holidays, weekends, lunch breaks, or recess, and can choose which apps are disabled or restricted, or see which apps their child is using in and out of school.

In particular, parents will be able to approve app downloads and block certain websites. It will also be possible to manage not only one, but also multiple children’s devices from one page. This can be done with a simple swipe.
