As previously reported by VG Entertainment in a comment to dev.ua, the project is being created on the modern Unreal Engine 5. Forest Reigns already has a page on Steam, where you can add it to your wishlist. The game will have Ukrainian text localization and no Russian.
VG Entertainment (formerly known as Vostok Games) was founded by former STALKER developers who left GSC Gamer World after the cancellation of STALKER 2 in 2012. It is best known for the free-to-play game Survarium, which was an attempt to port the STALKER formula to an online shooter. The project received mixed reviews and was completely shut down and removed from Steam in 2022.
