Hetmantsev calculated that a billion in taxes could be collected from all Ukrainian online fans in a year. What does he propose?
According to Danylo Getmantsev, the head of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, the potential for tax revenues from content creators for OnlyFans in Ukraine is about UAH 1 billion per year.
According to Danylo Getmantsev, the head of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, the potential for tax revenues from content creators for OnlyFans in Ukraine is about UAH 1 billion per year.
«There is only one 'but'. To get these funds to the budget, you need to stop lying to yourself, using pseudo-moralization to get political bonuses, and millions of hryvnias from the budget for control purchases of such content,» Hetmantsev noted on his TG channel.
The way out of the situation, in his words, is connected with the decriminalization of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In his opinion, this issue should have been resolved by the parliament long ago.
Instead, according to his information, instead of significant potential revenues to the budget, the creators of such content have over UAH 380 million in tax arrears for 2020-2022 alone.
«If we take 2023, the figures are even more impressive. During this period, 7,914 Ukrainians received income on the platform in the amount of about UAH 5 billion, which is UAH 750 million more than in the previous three years. However, these are the platform’s data. In contrast, in 2024, only 152 Ukrainians officially declared UAH 132.8 million in income from the OnlyFans platform. More than UAH 13 million in tax was accrued to the budget from this,» Hetmantsev cited the figures.
He also recalled that a petition to decriminalize the production of adult content recently received the necessary 25,000 votes.
«The author claims that she has already paid over 40 million hryvnias in taxes, wants to continue to honestly declare and pay them, but is facing threats of criminal prosecution. On the one hand, the state is ready to collect taxes from activities on the platform, and on the other, it is engaged in criminal prosecution of those who engage in this activity. This cannot be. It is time to stop the festival of hypocrisy and decriminalize Article 301,» Hetmantsev urged.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, due to the lack of regulation of this issue, such cases occur — for example, in the Carpathian region, police officers demanded a $1,000 bribe from an Onlyfans model.
An Onlyfans model was tried in Sumy Oblast. The court confiscated her iPhone for the state, issued a hefty fine, and ordered the destruction of sex toys and erotic costumes.
