«As I predicted earlier (those who regularly read my telegram can verify this) — the well-advertised project is gradually 'expiring'», — said Hetmantsev.
Earlier, the Ministry of Economy reported that the cashback accumulated by Ukrainians in February amounted to UAH 384 million, which is 7,2% less compared to the previous month.
«In February, the government paid almost as much cashback as in September, October, and November combined. We see how, thanks to the program, consumer behavior is gradually changing in favor of Ukrainians, in particular, demand for goods with cashback is growing. At the same time, the offer is expanding: cashback is already available for 373 thousand various consumer goods from 1,760 Ukrainian manufacturers,» commented First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
At the same time, Hetmantsev emphasizes that payments under Natskeshbek have been reduced for two months in a row:
«The number of Ukrainians who will receive the payment has also decreased — by 200 thousand people. If you divide the accruals by those who will receive them — it will be 120 hryvnias each. Less than the cheapest mobile communication package. There is not much choice in terms of what you can spend on, it makes no sense to compare it with the cost of utilities and a train ticket», — Hetmantsev pointed out.
According to him, manufacturers' interest in the National Cashback program is declining, and only 4 manufacturers have not joined it in the last three weeks.
«Not much… Obviously, the program needs modernization to avoid further loss of image or cancellation», — says Hetmantsev.
