On April 16, the National Commission for State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NCEC) granted permission to use 10 cellular and mobile communication base stations of the Chinese company Huawei in Ukraine.
On April 16, the National Commission for State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NCEC) granted permission to use 10 cellular and mobile communication base stations of the Chinese company Huawei in Ukraine.
On February 25, the Department of Radio Frequency Spectrum received an application from Huawei Ukraine LLC regarding the use of their base stations in Ukraine.
These are base stations for cellular communication E-GSM, GSM-900, GSM-1800, IMT-2000 (UMTS) and international mobile communication IMT (LTE) of the Chinese company Huawei Technologies , which are used in digital cellular radio communication systems E-GSM, GSM-1800 and IMT-2000 (UMTS), as well as in international mobile communication systems IMT-2020 and IMT.
Then, the State Enterprise "Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies" conducted a technical examination on the possibility of fulfilling the conditions of electromagnetic compatibility of radio equipment and provided the following conclusions:
"Technical characteristics of the declared radio equipment for use in
within the framework of the above-mentioned radio technologies comply with the requirements of the Plan for the Allocation and Use of the Radio Frequency Spectrum of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 19.12.2023 No. 1340 (as amended) and the requirements of the state and international standards DSTU ETSI EN 301 502, ETSI EN 301 908.
The results of the technical examination indicate that the EMC conditions are met with the operating radio equipment in the public radio frequency bands and that it complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulations, which will allow the declared radio equipment to be placed on the market and put into operation on legal grounds , the Radio Frequency Spectrum Department concluded and asked the NCEC to support the decision.
So, yesterday, the NKEK decided to "determine the possible use of a specific type of radio equipment or radiating device in accordance with the application" on the territory of Ukraine, that is, base stations of the Chinese Huawei.
