«I think we’ve set a record,» the service’s CEO says in a podcast for the Center for Economic Strategy. In particular, he said:
- In 22 months, as Smilyansky reports, Ukrposhta has opened 24 sorting centers .
- Automated sorting. «We set ourselves the task during the war to make sorting 100% automatic, and we achieved it,» Smilyansky also reported. Currently, all Ukrposhta parcels are tracked live 24×7.
- «The service has switched to the new Track&Trace ERP system of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
- Last year, a new payment system, Postpay, was introduced.
- Completed integration with customs. From April 18, 2024, all Ukrposhta parcels will arrive in Ukraine in electronic format. For example, the service’s parcels from China are delivered in 8-9 days due to the fact that as soon as the parcel leaves China, all data about it is already transferred to customs and the customs assigns each parcel a risk zone: red, yellow or green. For yellow or red, Ukrposhta requests additional data about the parcel while it is still in flight.
«If everything were like with parcels, I think we would have the most transparent customs in the world,» says Igor Smilyansky.
He also added that during this year, the branches plan to implement CRM and the «New Front» program.
