Ukrainian-American company Network.VC invested in 4 startups in a week. What products are they creating?

The American company Network.VC, founded by Ukrainian Oleksandr Soroka, has invested in a number of startups in the past few days. Among them is Orbital Operations, which is creating a reusable spacecraft to protect satellites.

On March 25, Oleksandr Soroka reported that Network VC invested in the startup Peppr AI, which positions itself as the world’s first platform for preserving knowledge based on artificial intelligence.

«Lost knowledge is lost productivity. Peppr AI transforms a company’s disparate data into a living, self-learning knowledge base that accelerates decision-making across the organization», — Network VC noted.

It is noted that the Peppr AI product helps teams of different sizes «work at the same speed as the smallest startups».

Later, it became known that Network VC invested in the startup Inversion Semiconductor, which is developing a new generation of chip production equipment that will allow creating the most powerful chips 15 times faster.

«They are creating a lithography machine. Lithography uses light to form circuits on a silicon wafer. The company is reaching the physical limits of transistor scaling, shrinking particle accelerators by a factor of 1,000 to create a powerful light source», — Soroka said.

Semiconductor technology allows doubling the transistor density at a given numerical aperture and tripling the performance.

Another recent investment from Network VC was funding startup Orbital Operations, which is building a high-thrust reusable spacecraft specifically designed to protect satellites.

«The company’s mission is to protect critically important national objects in orbit, such as GPS and military communication satellites, from growing threats from rival countries, including China and Russia,» said Oleksandr Soroka.

He said the Orbital Operations vehicle will use high-efficiency engine technology used in launch vehicles, made possible by the development of an innovative cryogenic fluid control system that allows the vehicle to provide more than 100 times more thrust than existing orbital systems.

The founders of Orbital Operations have over 15 years of aerospace experience, having worked at companies such as NASA, SpaceX, Blue Origin, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and Relativity Space. The startup is currently working on a demonstration version of its cryogenic system, with a full-fledged defense vehicle planned for launch in 2027.

Network VC also invested in Mecha Health, a company that develops fundamental AI models to automate X-ray analysis, helping radiologists significantly speed up their workflow.

«By applying its own artificial intelligence models to medical images, Mecha Health generates accurate draft medical reports, helping to optimize the diagnostic process. Notably, the company’s first model was built in less than two months and outperformed models from Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI in terms of clinical accuracy», — Network VC said.

Mecha Health has already partnered with the largest private radiology practice in the US and a multinational teleradiology company to create custom fundamental models. These models allow radiologists to increase their productivity from 1 scan per hour to 1 scan every 5 minutes. The startup charges a fee for each scan.

Recall that Network.VC also created the Ukrainian-American venture fund Oppenheimer Acceleration, designed to accelerate startups in the fields of defense, national and public security.

Oppenheimer Acceleration recently added two startups to its portfolio, BabAI and RightSpot.AI, which are developing technologies for drone protection and navigation. These are the fund’s fifth and sixth deals.
