The results of the competition were announced by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the KAI Petro Chernyshov.
"The elections for the president of the Kyiv Aviation Institute were held, they were held in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1029. 8 candidates applied for the competition, 7 of whom were present at the KAI for an interview. The discussions were difficult, but the Supervisory Board made a decision - Ksenia Semenova was elected the new President of the KAI," Chernyshov wrote in a post on Facebook.
According to him, the meeting of the Supervisory Board, which lasted 7 hours, was also attended by business representative Volodymyr Tsoi and the head of the Student Council of the KAI Anton Skybinsky.

Ksenia Semenova was born in 1990 in Kryvyi Rih.
In 2013, Semenova graduated from the National Aviation University with a degree in Electronic Devices and Systems. In the same year, she began working as a lecturer at NAU.
In 2020 there was Elected to the Kyiv City Council of the 9th convocation from the Servant of the People party. Deputy Head of the Commission on Digital Transformation and Administrative Services.
Since 2021, she has been the director of educational programs at the YEP business incubator.
In 2022, she became a co-founder of the Solomyanski Kotiki charity foundation, which specializes in tactical medicine, humanitarian demining, cars for the military, and the organization of invincibility points.
In April 2024, Semenovawas elected acting rector of KAI. This is the first time in the history of the university that it has been headed by a woman.
"During her tenure at KAI, new laboratories have appeared, digital changes have begun, and for the first time in many years, the university has entered into a dialogue with business — this is a good start," Chernyshov noted about the new president of KAI.
