This is evidenced by the results of the GEM Ukraine APS-2024 study, which was implemented as part of the «Inclusive Economy» project.
At the same time, among newly founded Ukrainian businesses, the statistics are somewhat different: data analysis tools are used by 23,4% of them, cloud technologies by 18,6%, and AI by 18,4%.
The survey also shows that there is a perception among businesses about the positive impact of AI tools on a number of aspects of doing business.
Thus, 45,9% of operating enterprises indicated the positive impact of artificial intelligence on increasing productivity.
41.3% of operating businesses believe that AI is useful for risk management, and 43,3% of companies believe that AI is effective for improving innovative products.
In addition, respondents highly appreciated the ability of artificial intelligence to increase business profitability (this was mentioned by 45,3% of company representatives in the survey).
At the same time, among the negative consequences of using AI tools for business were risks to data security and privacy, resistance to technology from employees, violations of business ethics, increased costs, and problems with implementing these tools.
Data analysis also shows that approximately 30,6% of early-stage entrepreneurs plan to increase their use of digital technologies for sales and service delivery in the first six months of their operation.
According to the study, 35,8% of respondents consider their business innovative. At the same time, according to the respondents, 17,4% of products and 18,3% of business services in the region where they do business are innovative. 6,5% of products and 9,7% of services, according to the survey, are innovative for the country and only 2% of products and 1,7% of services are innovative for the world.
The research results were obtained based on a survey of 2,000 respondents among adults aged 18 to 64 who are actively involved in planning, starting, or running a business.
