Maksym Bily, a platoon sergeant of the 112th Strike UAV Company of the Kyiv Separate Terroir Defense Brigade, with over 10 years of experience in IT, developed an FPV drone dispatching system together with his IT friends.

Maksym Bily, who has the call sign "Aeneas", has joined the ranks of Kyiv's territorial defense since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. In parallel with his combat duties, he is developing new technologies to increase the effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The former programmer spoke about his developments in an interview with the Kyiv TV channel.

His latest development is the LEVITATION FPV drone dispatching system, which helps coordinate the movement of UAVs. The development is already being used by the military on the front lines.

Since several units often operate on the same sector of the front, without joint coordination there can be problems such as crossing routes, electronic jamming, or even "friendly" clashes.

To avoid such problems, Maksym wrote a dispatching system, involving his IT friends in the project. The first tests of the system showed its effectiveness, which was appreciated by the military. Currently, the platform is used by more than 2,000 military personnel.

The LEVITATION system is not the only development of "Aeneas". While still in the infantry unit, he made several prototypes of the turret and it was presented at a military hackathon organized by the Ministry of Defense. The development took third place there in one of the categories.

Before working in IT, Maksym Bely worked as a theater artist, has an acting and directing education, also plays the guitar, sings and writes his own songs. All these professions helped him understand that there is also creativity in programming and that one can realize oneself there. Therefore, now he realizes his creative potential in the army, developing new technologies to increase the efficiency of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while simultaneously performing his combat duties.
