In a comment to dev.ua, CMO at Lanet CLICK Mykola Andrushchenko said that the company really has problems. «The Twitter account was hacked — it has already been restored, cleaned. There is still some spam in Viber, now we are finding out where the legs are growing from,» he noted.
Lanet CEO Marian Ivasyuk added that the accounts were accessed through an insider.
«Most likely, the email was hacked and the password was obtained,» he emphasized.
UPD. Recently, the provider’s official explanation also appeared on social networks:
«Dear subscribers! Our official page on X (Twitter) was hacked, and messages were sent on Viber using an alpha name. Currently, access to X (Twitter) has been restored.
There was no interference with the provider’s internal systems, as well as with the operation of the network. No other anomalies were detected. All services are in an enhanced mode and are conducting preventive monitoring. The circumstances of the unauthorized mailings are being established. Currently, it is known that less than 10% of subscribers received fraudulent messages sent to Viber using the provider’s alpha-name mailings, which are currently stopped.
