As Krippa said in an interview with Forbes Ukraine, in his opinion, the information that he owns GGBet could have appeared due to the fact that the company has been the general sponsor of the NAVI esports club for many years. Since 2018, this organization has belonged to Maxim Krippa.
«I have never been the owner of a single gambling operator in my life. Indeed, we invested in gambling at one time, but in 2016 these processes were curtailed. It simply became uninteresting, because this business does not allow for achieving large capitalization, global reach. It is too regulated everywhere,» the businessman noted.
According to him, any businessman would be «very happy to say» that he has a company like GGBet in his portfolio.
«This is the No. 1 e-sports bookmaker in the world. A completely Ukrainian company, which has completely withdrawn from the Russian market since the beginning of the war, made a statement literally on the second or third day of the war. That is why we chose it as our general partner», — explained the owner of NAVI.
He said that GGBet is owned by Petro Kozyrev, whom Krippa considers a «powerful, professional, very savvy guy.» The businessman also denied any involvement in the IT company Evoplay, which creates solutions in the field of gambling mathematics, games, and gaming platforms.
«I recommend that these people turn to official sources, where they will find a clear answer to who owns it. I do not own the EvoPlay company and have never owned it. You say, the company is in the top 10? One can only be happy for the guys. The rest is insinuations and rumors. The question is for those who spread them,» said Maksym Krippa.
He added that he currently earns most of his money from real estate transactions, buying and selling, renting, and managing property. «Recently, we have been investing in purchasing land plots where we will implement our own development projects,» the businessman added.
Krippa clarified that he works mostly in the UAE, where he moved in 2016. According to him, it is comfortable to work there due to the government’s liberal business policy, which allows you to quickly open companies, has a tax of only 9%, a developed banking infrastructure and guarantees of business security. «It is difficult to start a business in Europe — taxes reach 50%. It is not normal — to work for someone half of your time,» the entrepreneur believes.
Maxim Krippa said that his companies are involved in investments in land plots, residential, office and commercial real estate, and bring a stable total income. The UAE also houses representative offices of NAVI, Maincast and many other companies of the businessman.
«To sum up: real estate transactions mostly generate my income. But if we look at it from the angle of capitalization, then esports, game and software development, investments in gaming, and IT startups come first,» says Maksym Krippa.
Recall that earlier he went public with his first major interview, talking about how he became the owner of the NAVI esports club and the Maincast company. According to him, after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, NAVI «cut off all ties» with Russia. At first, this seemed like a bad business decision, but later it yielded «fantastic results».
Krippa also reported that STALKER 2 is profitable and that he is in talks with Netflix about a possible film adaptation of the game.
