In 2025, lifecell will radically reduce the number of tariffs in mobile communications. And already in February, it will increase the cost of its services, but not for all customers.
This was announced by Mykhailo Shelemba, CEO of the DVL group of companies (Datagroup, Volya and lifecell), in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.
The company has accumulated a number of old tariffs, which now only have 10, 20 or 500 customers. Therefore, this year they decided to reduce them: out of over 1,000 tariffs in mobile communications, about 30 will remain. There will also be a reduction in fixed communications - out of over 3,000 tariffs, about 150 will remain.
"The first major part of the reduction will be in the first quarter. This will improve the customer experience, simplify the operation of systems and facilitate their integration for combined mobile and fixed-line offerings," says the CEO of DVL.
Moreover, the company is increasing the cost of tariffs already in February. However, the price revision will not apply to new customers, to whom the company promised to fix the cost until the end of the year when porting a number.
“We wanted to delay this moment as much as possible in order to do our homework first: reduce our own costs and reduce the impact on customers,” Shelemba noted.
There will be a price change for existing subscribers. The last time the price increased for them was almost a year and a half ago, and not for everyone, but only for 15% of the base.
“Thanks to cost optimization, we will do this for half the cost required by economic conditions,” added the CEO of DVL.
After the increase in tariffs at Kyivstar and Vodafone, tens of thousands of subscribers applied to switch to lifecell. This overloaded the Centralized Database
Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, and lifecell are testing solar power plants in certain regions. Will this solution help maintain a stable network for 10 hours?
