Ukrainian man creates AI service to give his teacher wife back her free evenings. Now tutors across Ukraine use it
Yuriy Pilinkevich, an AI automation specialist, started building a tool for his teacher wife a year ago. The reason is simple: she spent at least 3-5 hours a week outside of work hours preparing materials.

«I built an AI service for my wife. She is a foreign literature teacher. I am her husband, who has been watching her evenings disappear into Word and papers for years… Friday — preparation for lessons. Sunday — preparation for lessons. Vacation — „I’ll work a little, because there’s a new chapter.“ Checking notebooks — every evening. Minimum 3–5 hours a week — for the average Ukrainian teacher, this is outside of working hours. This is a very, very minimum… This time should belong to her children. Her husband (that’s ME!). Herself,» he wrote on LinkedIn.
AI Methodist is a generator of educational materials for teachers and tutors. The mechanics are simple: you specify the subject, class, topic — and you get ready-made material in a minute. Today, the service supports 6 subjects and has 51 tools: tests, quizzes, lesson summaries, flashcards, dictations, crosswords, NMT simulations. Each task can be edited before saving to PDF. The first 5 attempts for users are free
Yuriy gives a specific example of using the development: a tutor asked him to make a math test for 8th grade — quadratic equations, 8 options for 8 problems with full solutions. «The file was ready in 4 minutes. Previously, it would have taken an entire Saturday evening,» he says.
A separate block is preparation for the NMT. According to the IT expert, the tasks are currently being developed strictly according to the NMT specifications in mathematics, Ukrainian, history, and English, with difficulty ranging from basic to Olympiad. Each student has their own version in 30 seconds.
