Hackers from the Lazarus group attacked another crypto exchange after Bybit. How OKX was affected

«We recently discovered a coordinated effort by the Lazarus group to misuse our defi services,» OKX representativesconfirmed in their statement.

The attackers targeted the DEX aggregator and OKX decided to temporarily suspend its services.

In addition, to protect customers, the crypto exchange has deployed:

• A hacker address detection system for its Web3 DEX aggregator, which was launched a few days ago.
• A system for tracking the hacker’s latest addresses and blocking them in the CEX system in real time.

In addition, the crypto exchange emphasized that OKX Web3 is a DEX aggregator, not a custodian of client assets. «Our role is to provide access to liquidity across multiple protocols, offering users the most efficient peer-to-peer trading experience,» the crypto exchange added in a statement.
