“MilTech today is LEGO made of different parts”. Dwarf Engineering explained how their operating system, which unites miltech developments into a single ecosystem, works.

Dwarf Engineering’s drone operating system allows for rapid integration of various software and hardware without the need for complex integrations, potentially setting a new standard for drone and defense manufacturers.

According to the company’s CEO Vladislav Piotrovsky, the system works on the principle of «LEGO for MilTech» — it combines various modules that previously existed separately into a single infrastructure.

«We have created an operating system where you can run any software, quickly update it, integrate solutions from other companies, and scale production. This allows you to avoid „homemade“ builds and speeds up the path from release to the front from months to days,» Piotrovsky explained.

Dwarf Engineering’s development grew out of the company’s own experience building guidance systems for kamikaze drones. While scaling the product, the team encountered a typical industry problem: the lack of a unified infrastructure, which prevented factories and startups from effectively integrating their solutions.

The new Dwarf operating system solves this with a Zero-Trust architecture that guarantees the security and isolation of each company’s data:

«We built the platform so that no one had to be trusted — neither the plant, nor the partner, nor even us. This is the basic principle of military security,» said Vladyslav Piotrovsky.

Today, Dwarf Engineering is already testing the platform with three Ukrainian defense companies, and after winning at IT Arena, it received dozens of requests from other market players. In the future, the system can become the basis for rapid updating, support, and mass production of drones that are compatible with each other, which is critically important for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«We wanted to make a product, and as a result, we created infrastructure for the entire industry. This is not just another piece of software — it is a standard that allows everyone to work faster and more safely,» summed up the CEO of Dwarf Engineering.
