Indie studio False Memory Dept. has released a demo of the game MINISTRY OF TRUTH: 1984, which the developers describe as a dystopian simulator of a totalitarian society.
The developers promise a story-driven experience, lots of puzzles and mini-games, animated comics, and a variable story that depends on the player’s actions. The core of the game is a unique mind control system that forces the player to delve into the depths of their own consciousness.
«Balance between loyalty and self-awareness, ambition and empathy. Submit, hide or fight the system. It’s all in your hands. And remember, Big Brother is watching you,» says the description of the project, which is based on George Orwell’s novel «1984.»
A demo of the game is already available on Steam as part of the «New Release Festival.» The full version is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2025. «Ministry of Truth: 1984» will have full Ukrainian localization.
We will remind you that this summer , Steam will host the fourth Ukrainian video game festival. This time, teams that have not stopped selling their games in the Russian Federation will not be allowed to participate.
