“The position involves building an AI direction from scratch. You don’t “enter a ready-made system,” but form a vision, strategy, and team for yourself. There is direct contact with decisions. Close work with the head of the Main Department of IT of the Ministry of Defense, the opportunity and resources to bring tasks to a result,” says the description of the vacancy, the appearance of which on Lobby X was first noticed by the DOU.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of existing AI solutions and processes in the Ministry of Defense;
- prioritization of AI implementations, formation of a development vision with resource needs and timelines, formation of a roadmap for the development of the AI direction;
- implementation of LLM: in Army+ — for user scenarios of military personnel, in Reserve+ — to improve technical support;
- integration of AI into technical support of all MOU products, electronic document management (standard responses), work with structured databases for planning and mobilization activities;
- organizing pilots, testing and scaling AI solutions;
- ensuring information security and compliance with legislation;
- interaction with national and international partners.
Requirements
- Experience in managing IT projects of at least 3 years;
- Product experience in AI or experience as an AI solutions architect with a product vision;
- understanding of the principles of ML, NLP, LLM, RPA;
- experience in the public sector, defense or large systems would be an advantage;
- experience in interacting with international partners will be an advantage;
- experience working with sensitive or government information would be an advantage;
- ability to work with constraints, to "finish" tasks to a result;
- strategic thinking, prioritization and team building skills;
- English at a level sufficient for professional communication
- citizenship of Ukraine;
- willingness to undergo a background check and polygraph.
