In Russia, hackers have hacked the official application of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
Users received push notifications about "nuclear warheads allegedly launched in all regions of the country," Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
The Russian agency confirmed the hacking, stating that the attackers sent out fake information, but emphasized that the general public alert system continues to operate normally.
Recall that on the evening of November 1 , the Ukrainian application "Air Alert" was subjected to a cyberattack . It contained fake notifications about radiation and chemical hazards, the threat of street fighting, as well as provocative texts in Russian with threats of "nuclear war" and a strike with a ballistic missile "Oreshnik".
Currently, the developers of the "Air Alert" application have partially restored its operation.
