Together with NordStellar, NordPass specialists reviewed and analyzed a 2.5 TB database obtained from various public sources, including the dark web.
Experts divided 44 countries into different categories. Only statistical information was used during the analysis, personal data of Internet users was not included in this study.
NordPass has analyzed passwords stolen by malware or discovered as a result of a data breach. In most cases, they were leaked with email addresses, which allowed analysts to distinguish between corporate and personal credentials by domain name.

Ukrainians used slightly more complex passwords than the rest of the world, but the average time to crack the top ten passwords is also about a second.
Experts also noted that the most common passwords people use at work are not that different from those they use in their personal lives.
