Google allowed users to "vibrate-code" Android apps and install them on their device without publishing them on Google Play

Google has allowed users to create their own Android apps using AI and install them on their smartphone through Google Play, without publishing to others or even having a developer account.
Now, users can create an app using Google AI Studio. All they need to do is tell the AI what to do and then install the app on their smartphone via Google Play. For example, a user can create their own task planner, expense tracking app, or any other tool they need.
Previously, Google AI Studio already allowed you to create full-fledged applications on Android, but in order to install them, you had to connect your smartphone to a computer or use developer tools.
In the future, Google plans to allow sharing of such apps with a small circle of friends and relatives. For example, you can create an app for your family or a group of friends without making it available to everyone. And if a developer still wants to make their app public, they can switch to a professional account and publish it on Google Play after passing standard checks.
The new feature began rolling out on October 13 for users over 18 in certain countries, including the US. It is not yet known when it will appear in Ukraine.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that Microsoft has taught Copilot to create internal work applications using simple text prompts. Users can describe what program they need, and AI will help create it without writing code.
