Ukrainian engineers have designed a ground drone called "Gulliver" that can pull a small SUV out of the mud. What is known about it?
The universal ground robotic complex «Gulliver», developed by Ukrainian inventors, was codified by the Ministry of Defense and allowed for operation in units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The universal ground robotic complex «Gulliver», developed by Ukrainian inventors, was codified by the Ministry of Defense and allowed for operation in units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
«Gulliver» was designed for the tasks of Ukrainian defenders in combat conditions in any difficult weather conditions, the ministry’s websitereports .
A ground drone is capable of:
deliver ammunition, equipment,
evacuate the wounded,
serve as a transporter for combat modules,
perform mining tasks (in appropriate equipment).
On paved roads, Gulliver is capable of transporting cargo with a maximum weight of over 300 kg. On rough off-road terrain, it will be able to deliver a slightly lighter load. But the robot has enough pulling power to pull a small military SUV out of the mud.
«Gulliver» is relatively small in size and can be transported in the back of a pickup truck. And it can work from severe frosts to scorching heat. It is able to overcome not only mud, but also steep slopes.
On a single battery charge, the drone can deliver cargo several dozen kilometers and return in the opposite direction.
Manufacturers of weapons and military equipment can codify new models according to the procedure at the link .
The first school for training operators of unmanned ground robotic systems has appeared in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: training is conducted on about 10 different UAVs
