Ukrainians are receiving National Cashback payments late because the programme has run out of money — Ekonomichna Pravda
Sources of the publication «Ekonomichna Pravda» in the government report that delays in payments of the «National Cashback» are due to the end of the money allocated for the program.
Sources of the publication «Ekonomichna Pravda» in the government report that delays in payments of the «National Cashback» are due to the end of the money allocated for the program.
The publication’s material notes complaints from Ukrainian citizens who report that «Diya» is still processing payments for August, and July payments were also delayed.
In February 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the national cashback program «Buy Ukrainian». With it, Ukrainians will be able to receive part of the money spent on goods of Ukrainian manufacturers.
On August 20, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the National Cashback program. For manufacturers of Ukrainian products and retailers, the program began on August 24. For buyers, on September 2.
According to insiders of «Ekonomichna Pravda» in the government, there is currently no funding in the budget for cashback payments. Additional funds were supposed to come from the reserve fund, but the money ran out there too, so payments are being delayed for some Ukrainians.
Sources in the Ministry of Finance report that the decision to allocate funds from the reserve fund has already been made and cashback payments should resume soon.
However, problems with financing existing support programs have not prevented the announcement of new ones. Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a new «winter support» package for citizens, which this time will include special «transport support» for UZ-3000.
«As I predicted earlier (those who regularly read my telegram can verify this) — the well-advertised project is gradually 'expiring',» said Hetmantsev.
