This was announced by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov following a working visit to the Netherlands, during which he met with the country’s Defense Minister, Prime Minister Rob Etten, representatives of parliament, the defense industry, and the TNO research organization.
The funds for PURL, a mechanism critical to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, were a continuation of previous support: all PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems previously funded by the Netherlands through PURL have already been delivered to Ukraine.
Particular attention was paid to the Drone Line, a joint project funded by the Netherlands. According to the party, approximately one in four targets hit on the battlefield today is the result of this project.
As part of the visit, we visited the production facility of the Destinus company, which manufactures Ruta missiles for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As part of the Build with Ukraine program, the parties are launching the production of Ukrainian unmanned systems directly in the Netherlands. In the near future, production of mid-strike and deep-strike solutions should start with funding from the Dutch Ministry of Defense — at the first stage, all production facilities will operate for the needs of Ukraine.
They also signed an agreement on defense innovations and cooperation between defense enterprises — Ukrainian technologies and combat experience should help partners adapt more quickly to the challenges of modern warfare, and the support of allies will allow for faster scaling of solutions that have proven effective on the front.
