The co-owner of Nova Poshta said that the company was considering implementing an efficiency department like Elon Musk's DOGE
Nova Poshta co-owner Volodymyr Popereshnyuk said the company has grown to nearly 30,000 employees and is looking for ways to avoid turning into a «sluggish, bureaucratic corporation.» In his post, he mentioned the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and announced an audit of Nova Poshta’s processes.

«Right now, as the owner of Nova Poshta, I have a serious challenge regarding the future of our company. The fact is that we have GROWED. We have turned into a huge company with almost 30,000 employees, with a considerable management and administrative apparatus», — Popereshnyuk wrote on his Facebook.
He noted that his task is to «preserve a living company capable of continuing to generate and implement wow ideas» and to protect Nova Poshta from turning into a «bureaucratic corporation, with a shitload of corridor wars.»
«One of the ideas is to create a company efficiency department, an analogue of DOGE. But a commercial company is not a government, where you can fire every official and it will only get better. Businesses usually need all employees, and it is very difficult to identify those who can be fired without losses for the company,» said the co-owner of Nova Poshta.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a temporary organization created in the United States to streamline the work of the federal government and reduce government spending. Its name is a reference to the popular internet meme and cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which is actively supported by billionaire Elon Musk.
Popereshnyuk noted that the task is not only to reduce costs, but also to expand the business, expand to other markets, and innovate, which «does not correlate in any way with staff reductions,» but rather the opposite.
» I decided to conduct an audit of the processes performed by all non-operational employees who do not touch the parcels. I plan to divide these employees into two categories — those who support the company’s vital activities and those who develop and improve it. To give preference and resources to the latter,» said Volodymyr Popereshnyuk.
According to him, the main thing is to «find unnecessary and harmful processes» that should be eliminated and remove everything that «prevents the company from developing and moving forward.»
Recall that in the first six weeks of operation, Elon Musk’s DOGE effectively liquidated agencies such as USAID and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which led to the dismissal of tens of thousands of federal employees and the cancellation of numerous grant programs around the world. Currently, DOGE continues its activities, but faces legal obstacles and public criticism.
