What is known about the deal?
The deal, the amount of which was not disclosed, will help Dropla Tech scale production and deepen integration between the defense sectors of Ukraine and Europe, which is also part of the cooperation strategy between Ukraine and Denmark.
As part of this agreement, Dropla Tech became the first publicly announced participant in the third cohort of the MITS Capital accelerator. This will allow the company to go through the NATO market entry program, as well as open access to MITS's extensive network of partners (which includes 20 defense companies as of July 2026) to work together on electronic warfare, drones, communications and sensors.
“We weren’t looking for capital. We were looking for infrastructure,” says Viacheslav Shvaydak, co-founder and CEO of Dropla Tech. MITS Capital brings operational back-office support in various jurisdictions, as well as access to a portfolio of Ukrainian defense companies with which Dropla Tech can develop joint R&D projects, component integration, etc., he emphasizes.
“For a company that scales between Denmark and Ukraine, this weighs more than any check,” he adds.
Dropla Tech Developments
Dropla Tech is a Danish-Ukrainian defense and dual-use technology company headquartered in Odense, Denmark, with an engineering team and operations in Ukraine (through DROPLA TEK LLC).
Dropla Tech develops AI solutions for detecting small explosive threats. The company’s flagship product is Blue Eyes Warbox, an edge AI system that detects and identifies threats—mines, improvised explosive devices, and, most importantly, ambush drones—to protect service members.
The system operates in real-time with airborne sensor data directly at the tactical level and does not require a connection to the cloud. In the future, it will also be used for humanitarian demining.
Blue Eyes is codified in the NATO Stock System (NATO nomenclature number 7010-61-019-5238, assigned by the National Codification Bureau of Ukraine). This allows NATO member states to purchase the system through standard channels. Blue Eyes is currently used by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and several Ukrainian security services.
In parallel, the company has created two modular ground-based unmanned platforms: Dropla 4×4 and Dropla 6×6. The platforms support configurations for casualty evacuation, logistics, reconnaissance (ISR), remotely piloted combat modules, and counter-UAV. The UAVs were originally designed to work with the Blue Eyes system and are designed for mass production in Europe.
Dropla Tech's third product is the Dropla Seer mobile multi-sensor reconnaissance complex for post-war humanitarian demining, which combines data from airborne and ground sensors with Blue Eyes AI processing.
Dropla Tech's next ambitious goal is to participate in the Build with Ukraine program and scale production capacity to 3,000 ground-based unmanned platforms per year, says Vyacheslav Shvaydak.
