GSC Game World has released a new major patch 1.5 «Weapons and Trophies» for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It weighs in at 32 GB and includes improvements to the A-life and AI systems, balance tweaks, as well as new weapons and game mechanics.
GSC Game World has released a new major patch 1.5 «Weapons and Trophies» for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. It weighs in at 32 GB and includes improvements to the A-life and AI systems, balance tweaks, as well as new weapons and game mechanics.
According to the description, the developers have added further improvements to the A-life system, which simulates life in the Zone. It is now modeled for all characters, not just those in the player’s field of view.
With the update, NPCs are no longer deleted when the player leaves. «They continue to live their lives and achieve their goals in the Zone until they meet their demise. After a while, the player may encounter the same stalkers», — GSC assures.
Players can also encounter more A-Life characters resting or interacting in various locations.
Weapons & Trophies also adds the long-awaited monster loot mechanic that players have been asking for to STALKER 2. Now, you can collect trophies from slain mutants and sell them to merchants.
The game also introduces a new anomaly, the Water Electric Tornado, and two new weapons, the Mosin-Nagant «Trilinyika» rifle and the Kora pistol. In addition, GSC has updated its lip-sync technology for voice acting to synchronize character facial animations with the Ukrainian language.
Patch 1.5 also improves optimizations, such as increasing performance in areas with a lot of pending dialogue (such as Rostock). The update contains many other improvements, such as extended weapon reload animations, a full list of changes can be found on the GSC website .
