«At first, they were just outsourcing companies that sold developers' time, roughly speaking. Then they transformed into service companies that take a project and develop it completely. Now all service companies are transforming and have some kind of product part,» she noted in an interview with Forbes.
According to her, Luxoft also has its own products, in particular for the automotive market.
«We also provide consulting — we help companies understand their needs. We are already a service-product company. The product does not occupy a significant part of the business, but we expect the product part to grow,» she announced.
As Olena Samborska notes, 70–75% of Luxoft Ukraine’s revenue comes from clients in the US, and when it comes to Europe, the largest clients are in the UK and Germany.
«There are also many clients in Latin American countries… A small part of the income comes from Ukrainian clients, with whom we have been working for quite some time. We recently signed a new contract here, but I can’t name the company,» the top manager said.
As for the departure of specialists, and the number of specialists at Luxoft has recently decreased to 3,000, according to Samborska, there are cases when people are fired due to the expiration of contracts, but «this is not a mass story.»
«There is a massive relocation and registration of people at Luxoft in Poland, Germany, Turkey, etc. This is 80% of the number of people we have reduced. Almost 20% resigned of their own free will. A large number of people went to DefenceTech, where they can book 100% of employees,» she explained.
As dev.ua reported, Luxoft Ukraine is currently undergoing checks before merging with its parent company DXC Technology.
