"Some of them showed 'winnings', although they themselves were not even registered as casino players. That is, such 'success stories' are a fiction created for manipulative advertising," the PlayCity agency reports .
The total audience of these 22 blocked Instagram pages exceeds 2.8 million users. The blocking was carried out in cooperation with Meta.
"The violators were identified thanks to the joint actions of PlayCity and citizens," the agency added.
But PlayCity does not block all bloggers, it simply imposes fines on some. Among the bloggers who were fined 4.8 million UAH are Rusalochka XL and Yelizar Bashynsky .
However, it remains unclear what criteria are used to select those who should be blocked and those who should only be fined.
Perhaps this situation arose because there are simply no codes (rules) that define the requirements, criteria, and mechanisms for distributing gambling advertising in online media. In response to a request from dev.ua , the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting confirmed this .
At the same time, UAH 84 million has already been allocated for the creation of a state online gambling monitoring system in 2025. However, the head of the parliamentary finance committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, stated that the creation of this system has been thwarted - it was supposed to be launched on September 30, and the tender was only recently held.
Recall that dev.ua told how casinos can become official media outlets for only UAH 4,000, and even bloggers can officially advertise gambling - for this it is enough to obtain 21+ media status.
