«The country’s EW needs are currently covered by about a third,» the expert noted in an interview with ALPHA MEDIA on YouTube. However, he emphasized that the coverage of the need for such means in Ukraine has always been at about the same level. «The threat from the enemy is growing, the scale is growing, accordingly, the need for EW is also growing,» added Serhiy «Flash.»
He also emphasized that electronic warfare is a very common word that covers various areas, starting from individual trench electronic warfare means on defense soldiers' vehicles and ending with electronic warfare that is located throughout Ukraine and blocks us from Shaheds and UAVs, as well as jamming satellite navigation signals. «All these systems are very different,» the specialist noted.
However, speaking about the influence of state institutions, «Flash» believes that it has a positive tendency towards resolving these issues. «The state provides assistance, partially financing enterprises that manufacture codified electronic warfare products. They can be supplied to the front. Of course, there are orders from the Ministry of Defense, in particular, for complexes that suppress, for example, Bukovel-type UAVs,» the specialist says.
