In January 2026, the Ukrainian AI application BitePal, developed by the Reface team, received 1.8 million downloads and ranked second in the world in the Food & Nutrition category.
BitePal is an AI-powered food tracker that lets users track their diet using a camera and artificial intelligence. The app combines the functionality of a health app with game mechanics. The company released the app about a year ago. The app is available on Google Play and the App Store .
As the company told dev.ua, in addition to its global success in the top 2, BitePal became No. 1 in the Health & Fitness section in 14 countries. Among them are Canada, Croatia, Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Bulgaria, and Slovenia.
According to Reface co-founder and co-CEO Ivan Altsybeev, the result was made possible thanks to systematic preparation for the peak season for health-saving services:
