Aitivets created a Telegram mini-app that helps you quickly find exercises for pain associated with sedentary work. How RehabO works

With experience in rehabilitation, the IT specialist once caught himself thinking that he had become his former target audience. Due to sedentary work, his neck and back began to regularly remind him of themselves. So the developer created a mini Telegram app that will select a personal exercise program right in the messenger in a matter of seconds.

“Now I work in IT, but I used to study medicine (I never became a doctor), worked for a while as a massage therapist and rehabilitation therapist. And now I myself am facing the problems of sedentary work. To be honest, it is not a problem for me to keep myself in good shape. I roughly understand what to do when my back or neck starts to pull. I decided to do a simple thing for myself (and, maybe, someone else),” said an IT guy under the nickname megobog on Reddit.

The project author first presented a demo version of his development about three weeks ago. Since then, he has been actively improving the product, based on user feedback.

RehabO is a mini-app that runs inside Telegram. According to the developer, it is free and ad-free.

The RehabO app works on a simple four-step algorithm, which is fully implemented inside Telegram. First, the user is asked to select a specific area of discomfort: neck, upper back, lower back or shoulders. After that, the user must specify the nature and severity of the pain (acute, recovery stage or purely preventive), which allows the system to set the right pace for the workout.

Based on this data, the application generates a personal program in seconds, consisting of a short sequence of proven exercises. To get relief and improve well-being, the user only needs to devote five minutes a day to the exercises, while simultaneously tracking the positive dynamics of their condition over time.

The developer also said that the frontend and backend are built on Next.js 16 and deployed on Vercel hosting, Supabase is used as the database, the grammY framework is responsible for the bot logic, and regular reminders work through an external service cron-job.org.

The IT specialist continues to improve the project and asks for feedback.

"If you have a few minutes, please take a look. I'm interested in everything: what's unclear, what looks strange, where there's no trust, would you want to use this if you have back pain?" the developer wrote .
