This is reported by Forbes Ukraine, citing an internal study by the recruitment agency Talando. Analysts note that large companies that create products planned to increase their staff to 1,000-3,000, but they failed to do so.
Volodymyr Bilyk, head of research at Talando, said that Ukrainian companies sought not to increase their costs and produce more through optimization. But they eventually had to abandon some new projects.
According to research by the Lviv IT Cluster and the DOU publication, there are currently about 630 product IT companies in Ukraine, employing 45% of IT professionals.
Previously, Managing Director of Luxoft Ukraine Olena Samborska said that most classic outsourcing companies in the IT market are currently working on having their own product.
