The game is being developed by Ukrainian Vladislav Fomenko himself in collaboration with active military pilots. To recreate the flight physics as accurately as possible, the developer personally tested drones at the training ground. The simulator recreates real combat conditions: the impact of enemy electronic warfare, difficult weather conditions, armor protection of equipment, and terrain features.
"Beating the Shaheed is more fun with friends," the developer notes, reminding us of the game’s online cooperative mode.
The main innovation of version 1.0 was the introduction of aerial targets. Intercepting Russian-Iranian strike UAVs requires pilots to use different control and approach techniques compared to attacks on ground equipment, as well as the mandatory detonation of the warhead in the air.
Among other updates, the developer added:
New time trial mode with three tracks to practice your driving skills.
Combat scenarios — hunting for MLRS, attacking enemy infantry in the fog, and new training.
Visualization of damage to affected equipment and the use of smoke screens by enemy infantry.
Gamepad support in simplified control mode, improved Steam Deck navigation, and a compass with target markers.
The project also includes an advanced drone editor (taking into account the weight of components during flight) and a mission editor with Steam Workshop support.
Remote Reaper was released in early access in April 2025 and has since garnered a 93% positive rating on Steam based on over 260 reviews. The standard price of Remote Reaper is 349 UAH, but in honor of the full release, there is a 25% discount — the project can be purchased for 262 UAH.
