The Armed Forces of Ukraine have adopted KRAMPUS flamethrowing robots that can participate in assault operations
The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for operation in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the KRAMPUS mobile strike complex from Ukrainian developers. The robotic platform is armed with RPV-16 infantry flamethrowers.
The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for operation in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the KRAMPUS mobile strike complex from Ukrainian developers. The robotic platform is armed with RPV-16 infantry flamethrowers.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the KRAMPUS robots have compact dimensions and weight, and can fit in the body of a pickup truck, minibus or on a trailer. The drone is equipped with two electric motors and a tracked chassis — this allows it to move over off-road, forest thickets, swamps and other difficult terrain.
KRAMPUS has control channels protected from electronic warfare and operates in various weather conditions. The platform’s batteries are sufficient for several hours of continuous movement. The drone can also operate at a position in standby mode for a long time.
The NRC is equipped with video cameras and a combat module with RPV-16 infantry flamethrowers, which can destroy enemy manpower and even lightly armored vehicles.
The Ministry of Defense recalled that more than 80 ground robotic complexes, most of which are Ukrainian-made, have already been put into service. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 20 ground robotic platforms have been codified.
One such NRC was the «Vislyuk» — a tracked robotic complex with electric motors that can perform evacuation and mine-clearing tasks. It was created by the Ukrainian company Robotic Systems.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for operation a new flamethrower equipped with a rocket-propelled grenade with a special thermobaric mixture.
