«Important! For the attention of the Ukrainian defense forces. An attack by the same UAV with artificial intelligence was recorded, but this time the engine is gasoline. This allowed us to attack our facility from 100 kilometers away,» the military said .
He added that he asked to raise this topic at the technological stake with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Currently, Serhiy «Flash» is collecting and systematizing information about this Russian drone.
In early May, he already reported an attack by an unusual Russian UAV. The first use of such a UAV was recorded in Sumy in February 2025.
«At first glance, the UAV does not arouse much interest, but inside it is an absolutely innovative product. The UAV is controlled via LTE mobile networks, has an inertial and satellite navigation system, but this is not the main thing,» the specialist said.
He indicated that the drone would be equipped with a laser rangefinder, which allows the UAV to navigate using a height map. It was also equipped with a high-speed 100GB hard drive and overall the drone «had a lot of computing power.»
«This type of strike UAV is considered by many experts to be the future, because the drone is controlled by artificial intelligence and at the same time the drone does not depend on satellite navigation signals and its control cannot be suppressed by electronic warfare. Such a drone can potentially even record the operation of air defense systems and anti-aircraft drones and perform evasive maneuvers,» noted Serhiy «Flash».
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov hinted at the development of technology related to drones, which could become a «game changer» in the war with Russia.
