Artem adds that the idea for the application arose thanks to a book. «For my personal development, I read various literature from time to time, and it once occurred to me that I need to visualize my plans and take small steps towards them every day. So, a long time ago, I created a Google Doc where I wrote down my plan and noted my progress,» he told dev.ua.
«Aytivets added that once he needed an app for task management for personal purposes, tried many apps from the App Store, but never found one that could be customized for him, and couldn’t think of anything better than making his own app — Agile Bundle,» says Artem.
PM didn’t stop there. «Since it turned out to be interesting, I decided to make an app for keeping track of habits. I also used an app for keeping track of my budget, but it hadn’t been updated for years, so I decided to make my own wallet, to top it off. And so the main idea bundle was born, where you can tweak the app in almost all its functions in the settings,» explains Artem.
Artem assembled a team to create the application, but, he adds, it was not easy for specialists to find time. «But AI was just starting to take off, doing a lot of work, writing texts, drawing pictures, and generally doing a lot of other things. So a few hours a day was enough,» he says.
Initially, the IT specialist planned to spend $5,000-$7,000 on the project. «But later I experienced what scope creep is when you want to have a lot of functions, a great design, and maximum settings. So the total budget came out to $10,000,» the specialist admits.
He explains: this project is more for himself. «On it, I worked out what it’s like to be the owner of a project, what difficulties arise, on the one hand, I’ve been working as a manager for more than 15 years, but having something of your own really changes your perspectives and approaches. Plus, this project is more reputational, when you not only create something for others, but you can implement your ideas and visions,» the IT specialist notes.
The first release of the apk took place in 2024. «And it immediately became clear that without optimization and marketing, the apk would simply drown in the vast ocean. It became clear that in three months we had made a super minimal MVP. So, in small steps, the apk was improved over the last year, and on October 8, a full-fledged version was released that could be shown to people,» says Artem.
He plans to continue developing in this direction. «For me, money is just an indicator of necessity, all the basic functions are free. When I started, it was just for fun. Now that I have gained boundless experience in the world of App Store marketing, I am thinking about narrow niches where I can break through competitors and make money,» the specialist plans.
