«Seven years ago it was a closed Muslim country,» Irina Smirnova, marketing director, told Forbes. «Now the country is trying to catch up with the UAE.» Saudi Arabia, she said, is considered the fastest-growing in the Middle East.
The company has not yet provided details about the release date and the number of specialists who will work there. dev.ua contacted Zone3000 with a clarifying request.
Zone3000 isn’t the only country to have chosen Saudi Arabia. Services giant Intellias opened an office in Saudi Arabia in 2020 to be closer to local clients.
Meanwhile, another outsourcing giant, Sigma Software, has been operating in Saudi Arabia for ten years. As of February 2025, the company has ten clients in the market there and twice as many in the Gulf region. Among them are large automotive, logistics, metallurgical, media companies, etc.
Saudi Arabia has a shortage of IT talent, said Eduardo Soares, managing director of Intellias in the Middle East, in a comment to Forbes. «The country needs AI, data, and experience design specialists the most,» he adds.
