William Haslach, 30, a former employee of Independent School District No. 622 (North St. Paul—Maplewood—Oakdale) and ISD No. 834 (Stillwater), was charged with possession of child pornography, as well as creating an indecent visual depiction of child sexual abuse, writes Kare11, citing data from the US Attorney’s Office.
According to information from law enforcement, Haslach took photos of children in the schools where he worked. Then he processed the candid photos with artificial intelligence tools to create images of children engaging in sexual acts.
The man was arrested in January. 800 files containing child sexual abuse material were recovered from his computer. Police say Haslach admitted to having a sexual attraction to children but denied ever having had sexual contact with a child.
Investigators believe Haslach may have more victims and are looking for anyone whose child was in close contact with him, or anyone who knows he took photos of a child. They are asking for information to be provided to the Minnesota BCA information line at 651-793-2465 or email [email protected].
