The payment service iPay .ua blocked the user's payment "due to NSDC sanctions." She claims that this could have happened due to a simple coincidence of surnames. How did this become possible
User Maria Polishchuk reported that the iPay.ua service blocked her payment based on a decision to impose sanctions, although she is not under them.
User Maria Polishchuk reported that the iPay.ua service blocked her payment based on a decision to impose sanctions, although she is not under them.
In her Facebook post, she attached a relevant screenshot confirming the payment was blocked.

«I’m not on the NSDC lists. Apparently, I’m on the payment service lists, because today they «rolled out» sanctions, in which Polishchuk is indeed present. And the service is blowing water, and I probably have to make a note everywhere «I am not a foreign agent,» — Maria Polishchuk commented on the situation on her page.
dev.ua contacted Maria Polishchuk for comment. She jokingly said that she «circumvented sanctions» and asked her friends to pay for the birds.
«A regular payment to an internet provider via the iPay.ua service ended with me seeing a notification on the success page that my payment had been returned without execution, with the wording that there was a match with the NSDC sanctions list. I didn’t really understand whether this was some kind of match with me or with my provider. I went to the bank to check if my accounts were blocked — I found out that everything was OK,» Polishchuk told our publication.
She also added that she specifically went to the NSDC website to check the list of sanctioned persons, and there is another person with the surname Polishchuk, but a male. She made an assumption that the blocking of the payment may be related to this, but is waiting for a response from the service. According to her, yesterday she called the iPay.ua service and they «took this request into consideration,» but Maria has not received a response yet.
«My vision for now is that the guys from iPay .ua, with one of their notifications, violated my constitutional rights that I do not have to prove that I am not guilty,» said Maria Polishchuk.
Already today, a comment appeared under Maria’s post from the IPay.ua Facebook page stating that there was a false positive in the system. «Your problem is already being considered by our technical department and will be resolved,» they promised.
dev.ua has also sent a request to the IPay.ua marketing department regarding this situation. As soon as we receive a comment from the company, we will add it to the news.
Recently, dev.ua wrote that monobank banned withdrawing crypto to private cards: customer support explained that income from the sale of cryptocurrency in Ukraine is still not regulated, so mass exchanges via P2P can be qualified as entrepreneurial activity.
Monobank has simplified the process of transferring funds from card to card using IBAN. It is safer and does not fall under the payment limit of UAH 150,000
