As Forbes Ukraine reports, this was announced by the group’s AI director Daniil Maltsev during the AI Day conference. According to him, the company decided not to invest in developing its own large language models, but instead to purchase ready-made solutions and «hire» existing AI agents.
«We want to transfer 100% of routine processes to agents. We choose those areas where the most man-hours are spent,» Maltsev noted.
The first stage was the automation of the HR department in the European division of Nova Post Europe. AI agents took over the initial interviews in 16 EU countries. Since the algorithms speak all European languages, this removed the restrictions on the number of interviews and allowed candidates to take them at any convenient time, including at night or on weekends. According to the company, candidates behave more relaxed with AI, and refusal to communicate with the bot was recorded only once.
In addition to recruiting, the technology has been tested in the finance department. The AI agent collects and analyzes work records in document management systems, recognizing even scanned copies. This has already freed two employees from manual data entry.
Maltsev emphasized that there are no plans to lay off employees whose tasks are being automated. They will be trained in working with technologies to retrain them as AI engineers or AI implementation managers. The group is currently looking for powerful solutions to automate its core business — logistics planning and dispatching.
Previously, Nova Poshta introduced an artificial intelligence-based tool that takes daily photos of each of the logistics operator’s branches and reports on compliance with standards.
