Google, through its experimental Google Labs, has introduced Playground. The new service, based on artificial intelligence, allows you to create browser-based 2D and 3D games using simple text prompts, without any coding, design, or illustration skills.
Playground main features
Users can choose a genre (from quizzes to racing) or start development from scratch, specifying the dimension (2D or 3D), format (single-player or multiplayer), and describe the gameplay, mechanics, and visual style, the company says .
The service allows you to upload your own images, which the AI adapts to the overall style of the game.
Ready-made games work on both mobile and PC. Projects can be kept private, shared via link, or published to the shared Explore gallery with leaderboards. Created games can be edited even after release.
In future updates, the developers promise to add integration with Unity Spark, which will open up access to professional 3D mechanics.
Access conditions
Playground is initially available to users aged 18 and over in the US, with further expansion to geo-locations. Viewing and playing games in the catalog is completely free, while a weekly token system is in place to generate new projects. The free limit can be expanded with a Google One AI subscription.
Unity Spark is currently in testing, with a closed beta coming soon. You can view demo games at playground.google, and learn more at unity.com/spark .
Тест dev.ua
