Startup 42AI claims its AI model can predict human behavior with 98% accuracy. It even analyzes how people talk to customer service.
Israeli startup 42AI has created an AI model that, according to its developers, can predict how a person will behave even in situations they have never encountered before. To do this, the model analyzes their psychological characteristics, financial transactions and even conversations with support services. The company already works with ten major brokers and claims an accuracy of predictions of up to 98%.
42AI believes that even when circumstances change, people retain certain psychological tendencies. For example, someone who is used to avoiding risk is likely to behave cautiously in an unfamiliar situation. It is these characteristics that their AI tries to capture. It assesses why a person makes certain decisions and calculates the probability of their next steps.
For example, in the case of brokerage clients, it analyzes how people register, how many times they call support, what tone they use when talking to operators, when transferring money and buying or selling stocks.
All these observations are then converted into mathematical behavioral characteristics that are processed by the AI model. A separate language model explains why the system made a particular prediction.
The technology has been in development for three years. The team first studied the behavior of thousands of people using psychological tests, and then added government data and information from biobanks covering more than 2 million people. Now 42AI also works with information it receives from its clients — in particular, brokerage companies. According to the founders, this data covers almost 30 million people.
42AI claims 98% accuracy in predicting stock trades. But this figure reflects how well actual trade flows fit within the predicted ranges, rather than the model guessing 98 out of 100 trades.
Sometimes AI can be wrong simply because it doesn’t know all the circumstances. For example, a trader might change their plans after talking to a friend or colleague, and the model won’t take that into account. Despite this, the technology is already being used by ten major brokerages. They use forecasts to better manage liquidity and financial risks.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about a study whose authors claim that AI can predict a person's future salary and career success based on just a photo of their face.
