This is evidenced by an analysis of data from the Work.ua platform for the period from July 2023 to June 2026, conducted using the methodology of the International Labor Organization (ILO), reported by Economic Truth .
The largest drop in demand was recorded among digital and office specialties. The number of vacancies for copywriters and translators in English has decreased by 60% in three years — from 125 to 50 per month. At the same time, new positions are appearing on the market, such as an AI copywriter with a salary of UAH 18,000 to UAH 45,000, which involves working in a duo with language models.
The IT industry has also been hit hard. The number of vacancies for web programmers has decreased by 56–76%, depending on specialization. SoftServe says it has reduced hiring of Juns because AI assistants can perform basic tasks that a beginner would spend hours on in minutes. As a result, outsourcing companies are reorienting their workflows from writing code to consulting and ready-made solutions.
In addition, the decline in demand affected web designers (-39%), online store administrators (-42%), content managers (-25%), as well as editors and journalists (-20–25%). According to ILO estimates, generative AI affects about 25% of workers in the world, mainly in the office sector of developed countries.
