Sky Hunter, a startup developing an application for guiding interceptor drones at enemy UAVs like the Shahed, has raised investment in a pre-seed round.
The company has already attracted a grant from the Brave1 cluster and investments from a number of venture capital companies and a private investor from the United States.
«The recent agreement provided for an investment specifically in a Ukrainian legal entity — without intermediaries, with the maximum positive impact on our economy. Brave1, for its part, helped investors conclude an agreement in accordance with Ukrainian legislation», the cluster noted.
Founder and CEO of Sky Hunter Sergey Nazarov told Defender Media that the startup’s valuation was $4 million. He did not disclose the amount of investment raised in the pre-seed round.
The Sky Hunter application automates the interception process, using real-time radar data to guide strike UAVs to enemy drones. This allows for rapid response to threats, coordination between radars and drones, and mission recording for later analysis and optimization of tactics. The system integrates with various types of interceptors and minimizes operator intervention.
Serhiy Nazarov noted that the product is already being used by several special forces units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to him, the Sky Hunter application is already helping them hit «shaheeds» and Russian reconnaissance drones.
«We’ve made a huge leap. But there’s still room to jump.» A great interview with Brave1 CEO — about laser weapons, interceptor drones, a missile program and more
