According to Dexerto, over 15 years on the largest digital gaming platform for PC, Sonix has amassed 40,035 projects. He has added an average of about seven games per day to his collection.
According to SteamDB, the value of all the games on Sonix’s account is currently $641,803, taking into account current prices and discounts. The actual amount the Chinese player spent on these games may actually be less. The total value of his account is estimated to be at least $248,765. This means that the average cost of one game from his library is $8.
Sonix is not the only player on Steam with such a huge library, but he is the first to cross the 40,000-game mark so far. The next largest collector, Ian Brandon Anderson, has around 39,500 games, not much less than Sonix. The top five collectors have recently passed the 35,000, 36,000, 39,000, and 40,000 milestones, indicating a growing collector activity and the number of games on Steam.
According to the latest estimates, tens of thousands of new games are released on Steam every year. The number of releases has increased from 1,715 in 2014 to 18,626 in 2024. The total number of projects on Steam is estimated at around 240,000.
