Czech studio Warhorse Studios, known for the role-playing game series Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has been hit by a cyberattack. Hackers gained unauthorized access to the company’s internal systems and data.
The developers announced this in a statement on the company’s website.
The studio has now engaged external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident, assess its impact, and restore system protection. Warhorse Studios has also passed on the investigation materials to law enforcement agencies to identify the attackers.
“This is a serious incident for Warhorse Studios and everyone affected by it. Our top priority is to ensure the security of our systems, establish the full scope of the breach, and take the necessary measures to protect our employees, partners, and community,” said Martin Friwaldsky, CEO of the studio.
The developers are currently declining interviews and additional comments, so the exact extent of the damage and the amount of stolen data remain unknown. The company promises to share updates on the investigation.
