The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has extended the asset freeze on ten companies associated with the Universe Group, Obrio, and AMO projects, as well as three individuals. The temporary restrictions will remain in effect until the conclusion of the trial in the case brought by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

This is stated in the relevant court ruling dated July 2, 2026, Forbes Ukraine reports .
The previous injunction concerns ten Cypriot legal entities, as well as the co-founders of Genesis Holding Volodymyr Mnogoletny, Vasyl Ulyanov and the director of a number of Cypriot companies Stamatis Skianis. According to court documents, these defendants did not appear at the hearing on July 2. The new court ruling effectively extends the temporary injunction (TRO) issued on June 4 of this year.
At the same time, two days earlier, on June 30, the other five legal entities Universe Group, Obrio, and AMO, registered in the US, as well as the Ukrainian defendants in the case — Oksana Kucher, Iryna Oleksyn, Olha Harbuzenko, Rostyslav Ivanytsia, and Viktoriia Savchuk — voluntarily agreed to similar restrictions.
The court order completely blocks the ability to alienate, transfer or hide the defendants' assets. Banking institutions, payment systems and financial companies are required to freeze the accounts of the defendants in the case, stop any transactions on them and provide all financial documentation upon request by the FTC. According to preliminary estimates, assets totaling about $22 million have been frozen.

At the request of the regulator, a federal court temporarily suspended the activities of some Genesis-related structures in the US — they are suspected of deceiving consumers through hidden charges and artificially complicating the cancellation of subscriptions.
